BUGLE CALL 2012

It is with great delight that Bugle Call 2012 can now announce that Legacy is the Official Charity of Bugle Call 2012. Bugle Call 2012 was always intended to be run as a not-for-profit event, but that mode of operation left a question it be answered: If Bugle Call 2012 does turn a profit, what should be done with the money? Now, we have an answer, and, we believe, it is an answer that the whole Australian wargames community can agree upon.
What is Legacy?
For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Legacy, here are a few words about their worthy efforts:
Legacy is dedicated to caring for the families of deceased and incapacitated veterans. Today, Legacy's caring and compassionate service assists over 100,000 widows and 1,900 children and dependants with a disability.
Legacy is a voluntary organisation supported by veterans, servicemen and women, and volunteers drawn from all walks of life. Our support and services now extend to include the dependants of members of today's Australian Defence Force who lose their lives as a result of their military service.
Legacy is dedicated to enhancing the lives and opportunities of our families through innovative and practical programs aimed at:
- the protection of individuals and families basic needs;
- advocating for their entitlements, rights and benefits;
- assisting families through bereavement; and
- helping people thrive, despite their adversity and loss.
There are over 5,900 volunteers around Australia who act as mentors to the widows and their families, and who ensure Legacy’s promise to care for the families of deceased veterans is kept.
Legacy at Bugle Call
As well as committing all net profits to Legacy, Bugle Call 2012 will also be hosting charity collection points. You will see 'tin hat' donation tins dotted about the venue, on display tables, etc., and we encourage all attendees to dig deep! Donations are voluntary, of course — but we sincerely hope everyone coming to Bugle Call 2012 can show a willingness to acknowledge the sacrifices of Australia's soldiers, and help us to help Legacy aid their families.

Welcome to the official website of BUGLE CALL 2012 - South Australia's wargaming convention!
Held in the Club Marion centre in the southern Adelaide suburb of Marion, BUGLE CALL promises to offer something for wargamers and militaria fans of all ages and all interests!
BUGLE CALL will be hosting a variety of tournaments, including WARHAMMER 40,000, De Bellis Antiquitatis and Flames of War! All tournaments will come with full scenery tables for players to fight it out over, and fantastic prizes!
Don't fancy battling it out in the tournaments? Then come and enjoy the demonstration and participation games! Run throughout the weekend, these come-n'-try style games will cover almost every aspect of the wargaming hobby, from tank actions in World War Two, to Nazi Zombies in underground bunkers to dueling starships!!
PLUS there will be a big variety of traders and merchants, all eager to help you recruit the latest additions to your armies!
